Industry Coal Sampling and Inspection
For over a year, SGS inspectors have regularly checked and sampled coal imported mainly from Ukraine, Russia and Poland. Such checks and sampling take place on-site or the samples are independently analysed at accredited laboratories. Results of such analyzes are binding for both concerned contractual parties. As a result of regular checks, the quality of imported raw material has risen significantly and the number of complaints has decreased.

Independent Inspection of the Quality of Supplies of Coal
SGS inspectors provide a full range of services for determining the coal quality including:
Completion of inspection and sampling procedures to industry standards and SGS standards with regard to local operational conditions. Supervision at reloading points (preventing possible interchange or mixing of coal at reloading sites) Execution of internal comparative sampling at reloading sites Monitor the unloading of coal at the site of the final user and final product rough sampling Process of rough samples and preparation of analytical and arbitration Sample analysis at independent accredited labs Certification of inspection including confirmation of quality and quantity of coal supplies The invoiced price of the contractor is determined through the coals final parameters.
